Title: Aregbesola’s reform’ll revamp education –Aide
Post by: Mirror on Oct 25, 2013, 07:31 PM
Osun State Government said it would be wrong for any group of people to accuse Governor Rauf Aregbesola of planning to relegate or promote a particular religion through his administration's education reform programme.

The Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Civil and Public Affairs, Comrade Waheed Lawal, said this yesterday while addressing journalists in Osogbo, the state capital.

Lawal said the reform would raise the standard of education and academic performance of public school students.

The governor's aide added that the public should see the ongoing education reform from a broader sense rather than religion or personal perception.

He said: "Only the discerning minds would appreciate the education reform. And that is why people should be objective and sincere while criticising the education reform.

"I have to give kudos to various religious groups that have in one way or the other shown concerns on the education reform as the reclassification and merging of schools is in fulfilment of Aregbesola's campaign promise of promoting functional education.
