A group, the Anti Corruption Network, has condemned the arrest of its leader, Comrade Dino Melaye during his protest against the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah in Abuja recently The Kogi State coordinator of the group, Comrade Moses Adedeji who made condemnation while speaking to journalists in Lokoja yesterday, said the arrest of Dino negate the stand of the Federal Government on anti -corruption crusade.
His words: "We condemned the cruxification and the arrest of our leader, Comrade Dino Melaye during the peaceful demonstration against the Aviation Minister, Stella Odua, over the N255 million car scandal.
"The latest action of the Jonathan's government is a vindication of the indifference to corruption at a time where by cronies and allies of his regime are shackled with question over their integrity and the illusion of his government stand against corruption." The group also condemned the threemen committee set up to investigate the minister, stressing that the Federal Government is just paying lip service to anti corruption crusade.
"We condemned the committee set up to investigate her (Stella Oduah) without first asking her to step aside; this is a gimmick to deceive the weary public with lies – tongues into believing that it is serious about anti – corruption crusade." It stated.
