Title: No Fans For Burkina Faso

Officials in Burkina Faso have confirmed that supporters would not be flown to Algeria for the return leg of the World Cup playoff next month in Blida for fear of insecurity.

The Football Federation chairman Sita Sangare told reporters in Ouagadougou on Friday that following risks of confrontation with local supporters it was decided the Stallions play without Burkinabe fans.

"After consulting the ministry of sports we decided to not fly any supporter to Algeria for the return leg," Sangare said.

"We played in such conditions against Congo in Pointe Noire and we won so it is not a problem. We are confident of bringing home the ticket to the World Cup and so we don't want to expose our supporters to dangers," he said.

Burkina Faso won the first leg 3-2 but the Fennec Foxes are deemed favoured for the reverse fixture holding at the Mustapha-Tchaker Stadium in Blida on November 19.
