Despite defeating Iran 4-1 in Tuesday's second round clash at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium, former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dosu Joseph has warned the Golden Eaglets to be wary of their quarter-final opponents Uruguay.

The Uruguayan scored three goals in the first half en route to a 4-2 win over Slovakia in Ras Al Khaimah yesterday, a result which sends them through to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup; and the former Reggiana FC goalie believes the rampaging Eaglets must learn to sustain their tempo to edge the sturdy South Americans at the Sharjah stadium.

"We have a great team but they must maintain their tempo and stay alert always," Dosu began.

"If they can do that, they'll be a top contender for the title," he added.

He further played down the likely implication of the unavailability of the striking duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Success Isaac for Saturday's encounter as a result of injuries the copped.

"The team is still scoring without them and so I don't think they'll be sorely missed. But their presence would have helped the team's chances," he concluded.
I see them winning the game. If Iran couldn't stop us, Uruguay won't either!
