Job Title: Laboratory Attendant II (in vitro bank) – 2 year renewable contract

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the position of Laboratory Attendant II (in vitro bank) at the Institute's Headquarters, Ibadan.
Position/Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
• Conservation of yam and cassava breeders' lines
• Processing of yam and cassava breeders' lines
• In vitro plant tissue culture processing of all RTB, IITA mandate crops including sorting of necrosis and contaminations
• Assist in packing of in vitro plants for safe duplication
• Assist in preparation of plant culture media
• Breeders' lines data entry
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
• WAEC O level certificate or Senior School certificate (SSCE)
• 3 years relevant working experience with plant tissue culture.
