Job Title: Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Prepare invoices and Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation.
• Document Invoices
• Prepare Profit and Loss Analysis
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register and compute monthly depreciation
• Conduct Fixed Assets& Inventory Verification on quarterly basis
• Reconcile Intercompany accounts
• File monthly Vat returns, WHT Payment and PAYE returns
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
• Report to management regarding the finances of organization, establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs, advice management on issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current Accounting Software.
• Prepare all records for the annual audit
• Other responsibilities delegated by the Managing director
QUALIFICATIONS
• An accountant with HND or B.SC in Accounting or other related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years cognate experience as Accountant in a reputable professional organization.Membership of a professional body will be an added advantage like ICAN, ACCA, and Membership of Institute of cost and management accountants
