Job Title: Laboratory Attendant II Seedbank
Employer: International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the position of Laboratory Attendant II Seedbank at the Institute's Headquarters, Ibadan.
Position/Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
• Retrieve and relocate seed lot samples
• Retrieve and relocate seed lots in the cold stores.
• Manage seed lot locations and arrangement in the cold store.
• Fumigate harvested seeds for processing.
• Update seed distribution data on the genebank online inventory.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the supervision.
Qualification, Experience and Skills: Senior School certificate (SSCE) with 3 year relevant working experience in general laboratory maintenance
The ideal candidate must:
• Be honest and hardworking;
• Be a good team player and be able to follow instructions;
• Be energetic and able to work under pressure
