Former Flying Eagles handler Tunde Disu has hailed the Golden Eaglets over their 2-0 victory against Uruguay in the quarter final stage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday.

Two goals from Taiwo Awoniyi off a double assist from Kelechi Iheanacho in each half, sealed victory for the Eaglets who will now face Sweden in the semi final on Tuesday.

"It was a wonderful victory against Uruguay and I think they have done well, they should continue with such performance ahead of their next game against Sweden", says Disu.

"They just have to prove a point against the Swedes especially after their first meeting in the group stage which ended 3-3. I believe their first encounter should go a long way in helping them achieve victory," Disu added.
