Former Minister of Transport and member, Board of Trustees, BoT, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, has denied jostling for a ministerial slot in the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

A newspaper had on Tuesday reported that Babatope was one of the ministerial nominees.

Speaking to National Mirror on telephone yesterday, Babatope said that the report in a national daily that he is being considered for a minister is false and should be discarded by his supporters.

His words: "The news that I am being considered for a minister, which was published by a national newspaper is false and it is a figment of imagination of some people.

"I am a supporter and advocate of President Goodluck Jonathan for second term and I consider that assignment more important for me at present than jostling to be a minister.

"I am appealing to all my supporters not to be bothered by the report that I am jostling for ministerial slot. The report that I am being considered for minister is false."
