Our client is an international leader in the provision of high quality, technical products to the construction industry. The company has an unsurpassed reputation for product quality and service, which in turn, has provided a solid foundation for sustained profitability and long term financial robustness. The business is now seeking a Regional Vice President to lead their ambitious expansion plans into Africa, a region of great strategic importance to the Group going forwards.
The Opportunity: – Establish and grow the Group's African business through identifying opportunities and partners for developing new operating companies in the region, on both a joint venture and wholly-owned basis – Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will have full business planning and profit and loss responsibility for the region, as well as providing leadership for all regional general management and their teams – With a significant focus on sales, you will drive sustainable growth in revenues and bottom line profitability and the management of business performance against plan.
Desired Skills and Experience: – Candidates will have a graduate education or equivalent, preferably in an engineering or science discipline – You will have demonstrable experience of establishing and operating companies in Africa and experience of selling high quality, technical products to the construction or related industries – Experience of working with distributors and managing these relationships is key to success in this role. Experience of working with Joint Venture partners is desirable, although not essential.
