Arsenal's highly-respected chief scout, Steve Rowley, has, according to a well-placed source, been offered over triple his current salary to work for Chelsea and is being pushed to give an answer in the coming week.
If Steve Rowley accepts the offer, he will replace Frank Arnesen, the former Chelsea's sport director, who resigned six months ago and has now moved to Hamburg.
