The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has faulted the ongoing registration of residents exercise by the Lagos State Government using the Lagos State Residents' Registration Agency, LASRAA, describing it as politically motivated.
At the flag off of the exercise, the state governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola , said that registration exercise was meant to provide demographic data for efficient planning and proper allocation of resources in the Centre of Excellence.
But the Lagos PDP debunked this, noting that it was a political gimmick to cajole Lagosians to vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in coming elections, even as it vowed to commence legal proceedings against the state government for sundry misappropriation of state resources.
In a release signed by the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Taofik Gani, the PDP said: "The lack of adequate social services for residents of the state should be blamed on Governor Fashola's mismanagement of Lagos funds rather than the absence of a list of registered residents in the state."
Well it's their decision to make in cases like that so the state is now aware of their stand towards that.
Nice one
