•There's another woman in his life -Wife No one ever thought that the once loving couple will end up seeking divorce after fifteen years of marriage. Adetutu and Yomi Okebukola both of Bashiru Oweh Street in Ikeja area have been married for fifteen years and are blessed with two lovely girls aged 12 and 14 respectively.
However, 42-year-old Yomi has filed a divorce case against his wife of fifteen years on the grounds that she is fetish and promiscuous, claiming that she is seeing another man and will not let him have intercourse with her. He also said she is involved in fetish things and may end up sending him to an early grave if he does not run from her.
"My wife is no longer the woman I used to know. She is seeing another man and I have caught her with the man twice. On confronting her with it, she denied, saying that the man was an old school mate of hers.
Another time, I saw my picture tied with a red cloth and smeared with black soap in her wardrobe and she denied saying that the black soap is not of any spiritual implication but a therapy she wants to use for her face.
She will not even allow me make love to her claiming that she is tired and will want some rest after her day's job. In the last eight months now, she has refused me intercourse.
All she does is nag me at every little opportunity. I just want to move on with my life and will want the court to grant me custody of the children because I will not want her influence to rub off on them," Yomi said.
Adetutu however, denied being caught with another man, adding that the black soap he saw in her wardrobe was only a beauty therapy and not any spiritual or fetish thing.
"I am not seeing any man. He is just saying all he is saying now just to attract sympathy. It is not true that I have not had intercourse with him for eight months. He is only exaggerating because he knows he has not been nice to me.
He is just saying all of these here because he wants a divorce so he can go and be with the girl he is seeing. He has been dating a girl in our area for some time now. I have even caught them necking at the back of our house severally and whenever I talk about it, he would snap at me and pick quarrels.
I stopped having intercourse with him about four months ago because I am sure he is not protecting himself and I will not have a man bring me infection because of his wayward lifestyle.
I am not interested in the marriage anymore. I will prefer to live alone and in peace but I want the court to grant me custody of the children so that I will be able to care for them, she said. The court president, after listening to the couple, adjourned the case to December 5, 2013 for further hearing.
