The University of Lagos Holding Company was set up as an independent business entity to oversee the management of several subsidiary companies created by the institution to provide high quality products and services to both local and international markets. Positioned to achieve a greater vision of impacting the rapid growth of the University of Lagos community towards self sufficiency, the company is looking to hire top notch professionals to join her team in realizing this vision in the following capacities:
Responsibilities:
• Strategy Formulation/Execution – Works with the Managing Directors of subsidiary companies to cascade and integrate the Company strategy
• Business Processes Management – Identifies opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the subsidiaries through the creation and implementation of standardised processes, tools and solutions.
• Stakeholder management – Collaborates with all stakeholders to design strategies to improve the productivity and value-add per business area
• Business Development & Growth – Champion the business growth and expansion of the subsidiary businesses by creating opportunities for new markets and maintaining the existing market. Manage the conceptualization of new products, coordinate the conduct of feasibility studies and make business case for new business ideas with the Board of Director
• Change Management – Regularly evaluate trends and champion a change initiative towards positioning the organization strategically to maximize opportunities
• Performance Management – Monitors and facilitates the performance management of the management team in order to ensure productivity and efficiency in their areas of coverage.
• Profitability – ensures all subsidiaries are performing at optimal and profitable in their line of business by reviewing
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum of first degree and an MBA (preferable), with at least 12 years experience in business process coordination, 5years of which must be at management leve
• Prior experience in a similar function in a group of companies with a track record of massive change management initiative
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills, quantitative and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
