PGS Data Processing is looking to recruit a Management Reporting Controller for the London Area operations, which includes offices in London, Luanda & Lagos. The role involves the preparation of monthly prognosis forecast reports, preparation and analysis of management reports, the supervision of month-end close procedures, liaison with FARO (Financial Accounting and Reporting Organization) accountants and collaborative work with operations managers.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
• Ensure the monthly close is timely and accurate
• Review and monitor financials
• Quarter End Close pack preparation for reviewing unusual accounting items, taxes, leases, and guarantees,
• Ensure accounting practices and procedures for assigned areas are consistent with global practice & IFRS rules
• Support interpretation of technical financial accounting rules and implement revised procedures when necessary
• Assist with statutory reporting, tax filings, transfer pricing reviews, and internal & external audits for remote locations
• Interact with the FARO accountants that perform the accounting transactions
Management Reporting:
• Interact with Managers to coordinate the monthly accounting & prognosis process
• Compile and publish monthly management reports per the reporting schedule, including prognosis, variance analysis, DSO & KPI progress
• Consolidate various offices reports and create monthly reporting package for London Area Manager
• Maintain headcount information
Projects:
• Support project accounting, including project setup. standard rates, and timesheets
• Prepare, review and QC project reports for any anomalies, performance, trends, and variances
• Support the continual development and improvement of project reporting
• Administer and QC monthly revenue recognition and invoicing
Budget and Forecast:
• Conduct monthly meetings with business supervisors and managers of assigned areas to review prognosis reports
• Compile and publish monthly prognosis report for business managers.
• Lead annual budget process and preparation of three-year business plans
• Participate in quarterly Capex reviews and ad hoc capex investment evaluation
Additional Duties:
• Monitor and control all aged debtors as per company standards
• Supporting sales team, providing them with customer, contract & invoicing analysis and other ad hoc requirements as and when needed
• Any other reasonable task requested by management for this as well as other Regions
Qualifications and Experience:
• ACCA, CIMA or other related finance qualification preferred
• Experience in a similar financial & management reporting role
• Experience of the oil services industry would be an advantage
Skills and Competencies:
• IFRS knowledge is necessary
• Local Angola and Nigeria GAAP knowledge is an advantage
• UK, Angola & Nigeria tax knowledge is an advantage
• PC literate with Microsoft Office applications, in particular advanced Excel
• International travel is required (10%)
