What future awaits us?

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) has released the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Mr. Chibuzo Ugwuoha, on bail.

Ugwuoha was granted administrative bail after he had been quizzed for several hours on Friday.

The ICPC had commenced investigation into alleged irregularities in the award of contracts by the Niger Delta interventionist agency.

The anti-graft commission said it had received 10 petitions against Ugwuoha and top directors of the NDDC on various allegations of financial improprieties and disregard for due process in the award of contacts.

The latest of petitions was the transfer of $20m from a Union Bank branch in the United Kingdom to a First Bank branch also in the UK without due process.
