The Ogun State House of Assembly today passed into law, the re-aligment bill with a new title: a bill for law to authorize the issue and appropriation of the sum of N211,789,806,88:51k only from the consolidated revenue fund for the services of Ogun State Government of Nigeria, for the financial year ending 31 day of December, 2013. Presenting the report of his Committee, Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Olusola Bankole said the realignment would give room for redistribution of fund among some State government ministries and agencies. According to the amended bill, the State Ministry of Special Duties got N5.1billion as against N3.1billion earlier proposed; Bureau of Electrical Engineering Services got N507million as against N307million initially proposed. Others included the Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning which now has N550mllion in place of N300million allocated earlier, while Housing Projects takes N5.9billion as against the former N8.4billion. The report was adopted after a motion moved and seconded by Hons Bankole and Samson Onademuren respectively and was later accepted by the whole House Afterwards, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Suraj Ishola Adekunbi read the amended copy clause -to- clause and passed it, directing that a clean copy be made for the Governor’s assent.
