The Department of Staff Welfare, Office of the Head of Service, has again called on interested Civil/Public servants wishing to participate in the Catfish programme to contact the Office at Room 14 Ground Floor for the processing of the necessary forms.
This was contained in a release from the information desk of the Office of the Head of Service.
The release assured that the necessary modalities, had been put in place for the immediate take-off of the Catfish farm initiative by the expected beneficiaries.
In a similar development, the Chairman, Cross River Co-operative Catfish Schrimps and Prawns Association (CRCCSPA), Deacon Otu Ekpenyong had inspected the commencement of harvest of one of the members assisted Catfish farm at the Parliamentary Village in Calabar.
Speaking before the harvest, Deacon Ekpenyong expressed delight with some workers who had started reaping from the Catfish initiative, which was stocked in November, 2012 and called on those yet to identify with the programme to do so, as the gains were uncountable.
He disclosed that his association had completed arrangements to construct the needed tank farms as well as the supply of fingerlings and take-off feed of five bags to intended participants.
