The North Western President of the Nigerian Mission of Seventh-Day Adventist church, Pastor (Dr) Oyeleke Owolabi, has urged journalists to always try as much as possible to report peace, unity and progress of the country and shun violence reporting as that is the only way to move the country forward.
.
The clergy made this call in Lagos while addressing newsmen on their church evangelism tagged, "Lagos for Christ 2013,". In his words, " I urge journalists to try as much as possible, to report peace, unity and progress and shun negative and pessimistic reporting because, it will not bring any development to the country".
.
According to Dr, Oyeleke, the evangelism, is a continious activity which will be taking place yearly as it is a positive way towards harnessing the raw talents in Nigerian youths especially, Lagosians.
.
"This evangelism is also mearnt to proffer a means of moving Lagos in paticular and Nigeria as a whole forward. We have through our humanitarian arm called, ADRA, been able to reach the poor and the less privileged. We have provided clothes to the naked and food to the hungry," he said.
