Chelsea defender David Luiz insists he is not concerned over his status at the club despite the threat of missing out on a World Cup place with Brazil.

Luiz has seemingly fallen out of favour with Blues boss Jose Mourinho in recent weeks, with Gary Cahill partnering John Terry at centre-back in three of the last five matches.

But the 26-year-old says he has no concerns over his spell on the bench, despite game time becoming increasingly important with next summer's World Cup looming.

'It will be like it has always been, I am never worried,' Luiz said.

'I train hard and seriously every day, he [Mourinho] has his options.'

Luiz has been linked with a January move away from Stamford Bridge, three years after joining the club from Benfica, with Barcelona said to retain their interest from the summer.

Chelsea travel to West Ham on Saturday evening, where victory could take them second.
