Title: Hoeness Laughs Off Bayern's 'Mole'
Post by: Folami David on Nov 26, 2013, 10:00 PM
Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness on Tuesday laughed off the 'mole' in the European champions' camp, but stars Philipp Lahm and Arjen Robben were not so easily amused.
.
Bayern coach Pep Guardiola has threatened to throw out any player – or players – found to be leaking information to the press.
.
The Spaniard was left fuming after details of tactics for the Bundesliga leader's 3-0 win at rivals Borussia Dortmund appeared hours before kick-off in Saturday's edition of German daily Bild.
.
In contrast to Guardiola, Hoeness, who faces a high- profile court case in March for tax evasion, laughed off any questions about the mole.
.
"The players are laughing themselves half to death over the headlines," said Hoeness before Bayern's flight to Russia to play CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Wednesday.
.
"I'm laughing about it myself and if that is our only problem, then we can live with that."
.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also tackled the issue with humour.
.
"I have the faint hope that the mole will adapt to the snow we have in Bavaria, go into hibernation and that the issue is done," he said.
