Sharks goalkeeper, Danladi Isah, has said that he is thrilled by his inclusion in Nigeria's 30-man squad preparing for the forthcoming Africa Nations Championship (Chan).
.
He is looking forward to the challenge ahead, adding that it was an honour to be given the chance to vie for a place in the Super Eagles.
.
He told supersport.com: "I give thanks to God for this opportunity and I'll give it my best shot.
.
"Nigeria is blessed with so many talented goalkeepers and it is an honour to be called up.
.
"I had been invited once previously, but that was a couple of years ago.
.
"To be called up means they have seen something so it's up to me to prove myself."
.
Though his performances in the league earned him the call-up, Isah preferred to pay tribute to the entire Sharks team.
.
"We finished the season very well, but it was a collective effort of all the players," he said.
.
"It is a recognition of our efforts that three of us (the others being Christian Pyagbara and Yinka Adedeji) have been invited to the Super Eagles.
This is a good one because it was about time he got the call up because he is a very good goalkeeper.
