Kenyan contenders, Seuyonce, Fess, Josh and Amos, Jennifer Nyambura, Michel were all pulled out of the game though Nyambura made it to the semi-final with the song 'Love Like This' by Faith Evans.

Unlike the first edition of the show where Valerie Kimani emerged winner and the last edition which saw Ruth Matete making Kenyans proud with the crown, Hope Irakoze (a.k.a the Man with a massive voice from Burundi) went home as the 2013 winner with a whooping sum of Ksh. 5 million and a one year recording deal.

The judges for this year included Neo-soul singer, Anthony Mwangi better known as Anto Neosoul, Uganda's Julianna Kanyomozi and Kenya's Ian Mbugua.
