Job Description: The Contract Manager deployed to the project site (CMS) is responsible for all contractual and claims management issues.
General, superordinate tasks and duties (within his or her own scope of responsibility): – Ensure compliance with the environmental, fire protection and occupational health & safety regulations. – Ensure definition of compliance with the requirements governing quality, time schedules (deadlines) and costs. – Ensure compliance with data protection and information security requirements governing e.g. personnel data, design calculations, costings and proposals (bids). – Ensure experience and information feedback (via e.g. CAPA and PCM). – Maintain and update the List of Open Points (WeB LOP). – Provide support for project site-specific reporting (e.g. daily, weekly and monthly reports).
Further important tasks and duties of the Contract Manager: – Support for the General Site Manager, Site Manager Business Administration and Site Managers Discipline (civil construction, field erection, commissioning) in all issues related to contracts and contract interpretation. – Preparation and interpretation contractual terms and conditions. – Assessment of information and correspondence for potential cost- and/or time-schedule-related consequences with regard to law and rights, i.e. claims-relevant formulations. – Provision of support in both development of outgoing claims and defense against incoming claims. – Claims management and setup, organization and management of a documentation system (including CLAMATO) for claims-relevant information and correspondence. – Support for project team members in all claims negotiations. – Processing and management of job order hourly wages: Review of hourly wage job orders and provision of support and information for the Site Manager Business Administration with respect to double-billing and all rights and entitlements regarding the list of services, claims or supplementary orders/invoices, etc.
