Job description:
• Overall responsibility for the financial management and financial target delivery for the Nigeria region.
• Acts as the key business partner in the region and for the region General Manager
• This includes proactively delivering business related services to region management in an accurate, timely manner through the effective management and coordination of the finance teams supporting the region in order to ensure optimal allocation of company resources in the planning and implementation of the business' strategy.
• Directs the finance teams and proactively provides advice to grow and create and protect value (through revenue growth, managing different business models, optimising cost, and managing risk for instance).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for providing pro-active System Economic/Bottler, Customer, and Marketing Financial Insights , input, and leadership to region management (through the use of value chain analysis, bottler profitability, cash flow analysis and financial strategy for instance) to ensure optimal allocation of resources and to identify opportunities to create additional value on a continuous basis (20%)
• Responsible for delivering all revenues and expenditures targets during the year and for reporting back to the management any variances to budget or any non-compliance with the Chart of Authority (20%)
• Responsible for developing and providing on schedule all financial management routines, including the monthly Rolling Estimate, the Annual Business Plan and the year-end financial statements (15%)
• Responsible for monitoring adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and reporting to the BU Finance Director any activities which appear to be non-compliant (5%)
• Responsible, with the prior approval of the General Manager and BU Finance Director, for managing the region's relationship with external constituents (Business unit, Group, Bottlers, Atlanta) as it relates to financial matters (10%)
• Responsible for managing the finance team relating to recruiting, coaching, developing and motivating the staff to meet the requirements of the plan (10%)
• Responsible for developing and executing financial strategies for the largest region in the Business unit to meet annual and long term targets (20%)

Organization Impact/ Influence:
• Extensive Interaction with: General Manager for region; region General Manager direct reports (function heads and management team); Business unit finance director and BU team; other BU Finance Managers; RFC, Tax, Treasury, M&A and Legal departments; external service providers (Ernst & Young, tax advisors); extensive contact with bottler CFO and management team. Contact with government on taxation and policy matters. Participate in external forums for FMCG's in Nigeria.
• Nature and Purpose of the Interaction: Decision making and influencing which would have significant impact on the region's financial performance and reputation (regulatory and code of conduct issues)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Overall direct responsibility for a region finance team of 2 full time associates and secondary responsibility for the effectiveness and delivery of services from other finance Teams from the Group, RFC, AP, etc. Responsible for the adherence to standard processes and activities within the Region, objective setting and follow up, performance evaluations, coaching & feedback, developmental plans, hiring and terminations of direct reports.
