Aaron Ramsey is confident Arsenal can bounce back from the hammering they received against Manchester City.

Arsenal were left licking their wounds after going down 6-3 to Manuel Pellegrini's men at the Etihad, cutting their lead at the top to two points in the process.

Because of results on Saturday, Arsenal could find themselves in fourth place, just one point above Everton if they lose to Chelsea in Monday's fixture at the Emirates.

But Ramsey doesn't believe that the shock result has had any lasting effects on the Arsenal squad and has backed him team to recover in the upcoming games.

"I don't think it has shaken us," the 22-year-old told the Daily Mail. "To concede that many goals was disappointing for the team, especially when we've defended so well this season. We still created a lot of opportunities and we could have had six goals as well.

"We've dropped a few points in the past couple of games and we are still top, and that just shows what a good start we've had. Hopefully we'll learn from this little blip and put it right as soon as possible."

The Gunners dropped off of top spot for the first time in weeks, but can reclaim their place with a win over Jose Mourinho's men.

However, having failed to beat Mourinho in all nine of their meeting, Arsene Wenger will have to break down the mental barrier if the Gunners are to be top for Christmas.
