Post by: Shola Sholaz on Dec 25, 2013, 03:41 PM
Deputy speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Leyii Kwanee, has commended the media generally in the state for standing on the side of truth and justice over the lingering political situation in the state.
.
Kwanee, in acknowledgement of this, hosted the Rivers press yesterday at his official residence in Port Harcourt to celebrate the press for not letting Rivers people down in their trying moment. Kwanee, who represents Khana II in the state Assembly, particularly noted that 2013 had been a very trying period for the House.
.
He said: "The successes we have recorded so far and the sustainability of our democratic process have been informed by the tremendous support given to us by the press community."
