Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Responsibilities:
• Ensuring effective supervision of the routine and operational activities of the Finance department with emphasis on proper and accurate book/record keeping, effective implementation of controls/procedures and generation of internal and/or special reports to aid management decision making processes.
• Ensuring effective control over income, expenses, assets and liabilities of the company in compliance with the company's policies and in accordance with the provisions of the (Nigerian) law.
• Responsible for budget planning, collation, preparation, imputation, monitoring and reporting to ensure compliance with budget approved by management.
• Present operating and capital expenditure budget for review and approval.
• Provide corporate financial management and strategic planning for the company.
• Prepare periodic cost performance report on activities and provide explanations on budget performance variance.
• Oversee assessment of risk and control relating to operational activities.
• Conduct periodic checks on cash, inventory, company assets and accounts in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
• Investigate all accounts of violation of company operational procedures and make recommendations.
Desired Skills and Experience
Compulsory:
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION: Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Equivalent
MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: BSC/ HND in Accounting or Finance
Residence: Lagos, Nigeria
Skills:
• Excellent Communication Skill
• Experienced in handling payroll / Tax matters
• Good Manager of People
• Excellent Computer Skill (especially Microsoft Excel)
