Ogun State Police Command has said that it did not have the record of attack on a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State , Chief Kushimo Lukmon who was reportedly attacked by unknown gunmen who broke into his house at ita-Eko, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement, yesterday said the command was disappointed in the victim for his failure to report the incident at the police station.
.
The victim had told newsmen that a gang of six men invaded his residence at 5, Famuyiwa close, Surulere, Ita-Eko, Abeokuta, around 1:am on Monday and threatened to kill him if he did not drop his ambition for Ogun state House of Assembly.
.
But, reacting to the incident the PPRO said, "the command is taken aback to read the said story in the paper as we do not have record of such incident. The Command considers such publication an unnecessary alarm geared towards getting cheap popularity and malign the integrity of the security agencies of Ogun state.
.
"The victim is expected to report such a case to the Ibara Divisional Headquarters considering the nature of the incident."
That is ae very good result for 2013 so we are here to provide This seeling mad won't be your base when he is there
Gunmen attacks ruined many homes in 2013 and it all boils down to weak security system in the country. Something must be done next year
We will just have to keep preaching nothing but peace in this country. That is what the country needs.
All this breaking into houses is so rampant this days in Nigeria and still nothing has been done about it. Sad one
