l think President Goodluck Jonathan desire to engage technocrats to achieve his election promises.
l wonder why the Peoples Democratic Party would not give him a free hand to operate.
Maybe this boils down to the saying that "He who pay the piper, dictates the tune".
The Peoples Democratic Party's National Working Committee held a meeting on June 15 in Abuja, over President Goodluck Jonathan's decision to appoint several technocrats, who are non-PDP members, as ministers.
A member of the Party's National Working Committee, who spoke with newsmen, said that most of his colleagues did not understand why Jonathan went outside the PDP to pick technocrats when the party's list of nominees included many technocrats.
It was gathered that President Jonathan is disturbed at the mountain of requests by lobbyist for ministerial positions. He described most of them as self-seekers, lobbying for appointments, not in the interest of the nation. He promised to disappoint most of them.
Shocker to them! If President Jonathan appoints technocrats, are they Non-Nigerians? That is a question to ask. It is high time right peg is put in the right hole. President Jonathan should not disappoint Nigerians. He should follow his rightful mind and appoint those that lead Nigeria aright, not those that self-centered and only concerned about their selfish and calumnious interests.
Let the truth be said if though heaven will fall! It is good die as a youth while rendering positive service to human than live at old yet unfulfilled. Believe!
Like l said in my previous post, Jonathan's situation can be attributed to the saying, "He who pay the piper, dictates the tune".
PDP believes he belongs to them, forgetting the fact that Jonathan is President of the federal republic of Nigeria, and not President of PDP.
l urge President Jonathan to, "Engage technocrats", irrespective of what party they belong, in re-building Nigeria, and not "vision-less politicians".
l hope President Jonathan would stick to his Principle.
