Title: Liverpool Laugh Off Sterling Departure Reports
Post by: Folami David on Jan 03, 2014, 10:46 PM
Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe has laughed off reports that winger Raheem Sterling could leave the club on loan in this transfer window, reports talkSPORT.
.
The winger has been in fine form for the Merseyside outfit of late, however recent reports have linked the 19-year-old with a short term switch to Premier League outfit Swansea City.
.
However Pascoe has insisted that the English youngster will not be departing Anfield this month.
.
Speaking to reporters, the Reds assistant said: "We just laughed at that really.
.
"Raheem has been brilliant this season - he won't be going anywhere."
.
Sterling has played a key role in Liverpool's strong start to the season as the Reds currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League.
.
However, Liverpool's immediate attention will be on their FA Cup third round clash this weekend.
.
Brendan Rodgers' side take on Oldham at Anfield on Sunday and will be hoping to avoid another giant killing which saw them eliminated against the same opposition in last year's campaign.
.
The Reds will be desperate for revenge against their counterparts and, with Sterling set to stay on at Anfield, the star could well play his part in the fixture this weekend.

There are so many absurd speculations about different players this days so many other clubs will still have things to laugh about.
