Title: Police To Dig Out Corpses Of Suspected Armed Robbers In Edo State

Edo State Police Command has agreed to exhume the corpses of four different robbery suspects murdered on November 24, 2013 at the Ahor axis of the Benin bye-pass, in Edo State.

It will be recalled that the court presided over by Chief Magistrate Friday Igbinosa, had, during its lasting sitting on December 16, 2013, ordered that the remains of Mr. Samuel Imaikop, aged 42, and three unknown other persons, alleged to have been extra- judicially killed by the police, be exhumed for the purpose of examining the corpses to ascertain the causes of their death.

The court had also ruled that no  medical experts other than Police Pathologist(s) should carry out the examination or be part of same.

The court ordered that "the said medical report of the examination of the bodies or corpses shall be made into copies and sent to the Registrar of the court for purposes or other consequential orders if necessary."

"Finally, the Commissioner of Police Edo State, who is the respondent in this case is hereby, ordered to produce the said bodies of the deceased persons or the killed Mr. Samuel Imaikop, 42 years and the three other unknown persons and hand over their corpses or be pointer to wherever their bodies are presently buries to enable the experts carry out or execute the orders of this court."

Among the robbery suspects was one Samuel Imaikop, whose family claimed was a farmer and married to two wives.

This is a good step to take by the policemen. The cause of their death have to be known by Nigerians. Surely!

Well at the moment, anything will be done to reveal the truth. Proper investigation will do the magic.
