Job Title: Finance/Lease Administrator

Location: Ibadan, Nigeria

Recruiter: HReade Limited

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Retail Lease

REPORTS TO: Retail Lease Manager/Finance and Support Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the day-to-day financial tasks of the department. Keeps track of transactions and bank reconciliation. creates financial transactions, posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. Reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•   Responsible for ensuring that accurate financial records of the retail department are current and up to date. •   Keeping records of every financial transaction of the department and reconcile the accounts on time •   Keep records of incoming and outgoing invoices and follows up on payment due. •   Carries out financial analysis required by retail department for decision making process. •   Responsible for tracking expenses and revenue of department. •   Ensures that records are accurate and properly recorded and sends to the finance department based on timelines agreed. •   Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries. •   Maintains historical records by filing documents appropriately. •   Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information. •   Liaises with the finance department on all accounting matters relating to retail lease department •   Maintain the petty cash fund for the department.

•   Record cash receipts and make bank deposits. •   Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account •   Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy. •   Ensure that receivables are collected promptly

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•   Ability to ensure bank reconciliation is carried out in a timely manner.

•   Ensuring accounting errors or discrepancies are promptly discovered and resolved (or referred).

•   Good communication and coordination exists with Company personnel.

•   Assistance and support are provided as needed.

•   Ensure accounting functions are completed in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

•   Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and concepts

•   Knowledge of related computer applications-Microsoft excel

SKILLS REQUIRED:

•   Excellent communication skills

•   Excellent numerical skills

•   Detail orientation skills

•   Computer proficiency –Microsoft office tools

•   Solid analytical skills

•   Ability to work in stressful , high pressure situations

•   Team oriented

WORK EXPERIENCE: At least one year post NYSC experience in similar role
