Job Description: Primary purpose of the job is to drive and develop business for Valve Automation Products in Nigeria & Angola. Own the Country Business Plan. To meet company entity sales and destination targets. Set yearly objectives and objectives and execute according to the plan.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Proactively promote the sale of products & services for V&A products to the Petrochemical, Water, Power and Oil & Gas Market.
• Lead sales and business development activities at all high levels and middle management to promote the valve automation concepts.
• Lead Sales team within his sphere of responsibility.
• Work as an Integral member of the Valve Automation MEA team across all facets of the organization.
• Work with Product Manager and application sales to develop specification around V&A products at local consultants and end users.
• Ensure we maintain direct interaction with end users in key positions as well as working with key EPC accounts and consultants.
• Ensure the sales enquiries and opportunities are met to customer and sales representative's expectations.
• Supervise the technical and commercial aspects for V&A products ensuring that they are accurate, technically verified and offer best solution for the market.
• Develop relationships with future suppliers of Valve related products to maximize the automation content to provide automation on-off packages.
• Liaise with Finance to resolve any invoice discrepancies and help reduce the company DSO levels
• Liaise with Dubai and factory to support any warranty or service needs for customers.
• Keep up-to-date with developments and trends in products, industries, and market conditions.
• Involvement in the cross selling pursuit of Emerson brands and PlantWeb promotion within all organizations.
• To meet required goals and objectives, and not limited to these functions.
Job Requirements:
Education and Qualifications
Essential: Degree in Engineering or Business discipline
Desirable: MBA
Experience
Essential:
• Proven background in proactive selling – 2 years
• Control & Instrumentation background – minimum 6 years
• Relevant industry knowledge/business knowledge
• Strong business skills/commercial awareness
• Strategic Selling
Desirable:
• Experience of developing regional Business Plans
• Development of sales channels
Languages: Fluent in English – Spoken/Written
