The appointment was announced to the University Community at the Friday Faculty Fellowship of 14th March 2014 by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Matthew Ola-Rotimi Ajayi.
Dr. Izebere, Ohiomah John was born on 30th January 1966 into a Christian family in Eme-ora, Edo State, where he had his elementary education. He attended Ujuolen Grammar School, Ekpoma, where he got his WASC in 1986. He proceeded to the School of Basic Studies, A.B.U., Zaria, for his Advanced Level Certificate in 1987 which secured him admission into the Department of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 1995.
He took his academic stride from the north to the west where he was awarded Certificate in Advanced Immunology by the College of Medicine, University College Hospital, Ibadan in 2004. His quest for advanced studies propelled him to pursue higher degree programmes in the field of Microbiology at University of Ibadan where he bagged his M.Sc Microbiology 2007 and earned his Ph.D in Molecular Microbiology 2013.
Dr. Izebere, Ohiomah John has worked in some reputable organisations where he served at different times in the capacity of a Veterinary Clinician, Farm General Manager. As a Registered Member, Veterinary Council of Nigeria, Dr. Izebere O.J. practiced his maiden profession creditably well. He has to his credit a number of patents and publications.
On 14th March 2004, Dr. Izebere left the practice of Veterinary Medicine to answer the call to Ministry when he was ordained a Pastor of the Living Faith Church. In this Commission, he has served as an Associate Pastor and Personal Assistant to Bishop David Oyedepo (2001-2009) and Head, Winners Satellite Fellowship (2009-2014). Until his appointment as Registrar Landmark University, he was the Church Administrator and Assistant Resident Pastor Faith Tabernacle Ota.
Dr. Izebere is happily married with children.
