Role & Responsibility:
• Procurement of spare parts, components and operating materials and resources at local suppliers
• Prepare purchasing inquiries based on purchasing requisitions
• Analyse supplier quotations and recommend choice of suppliers
• Negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors in regard to purchasing prices, delivery dates, payment terms and warranty in cooperation with the Procurement Manager
• Selection, qualification and on-going management of current suppliers and subcontractors
• Preparation of procurement contracts
• Forecast purchasing and logistic costs
• Report and analyse price developments
• Maintain available catalogue of most common spare parts including cost prices
• Prepare, evaluate and follow up all supporting services contracts such as maintenance and manpower supply contracts
• Support the commercial claims management
• Continuous reporting to the Procurement Manager
• Selection, qualification and on-going management of current suppliers and subcontractors
• Comply with all relevant company and statutory health and safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
• Degree in an engineering discipline or economics would be an advantage
• Experience in the cement industry in procurement in a comparable position
• Good understanding of contract management and claims management
• Very good technical understanding
• Knowledge in cost controlling and supplier management would be an advantage
• Negotiations skills, an o work in a team and a confident manner
• Very good MS-Office and SAP knowledge
• Business-fluent spoken and written English
• Further languages skills would be an advantage
• Willingness to travel to various national locations
