Job Title: Lead Project Engineer, Water Management Facilities

Principal Accountabilities:
• The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Project and Discipline Engineers and Designers involved in the development of Water Supply, Treatment and Injection projects from Site Selection, conceptual design, FEED to Detail design, execution and commissioning
• Develop and maintain project interface management plan
• Develop project budget and schedule in accordance with Company's Contractual Requirements
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk and opportunity register through engineering design, construction, installation, and commissioning
• Ensure that all HSE issues have been addressed and systems are in place to manage same
• Development and implementation of initiatives to improve cost effectiveness and efficiency of the project execution
• Maintaining design integrity and quality within the project team
• Co-ordination of the work to be undertaken by the Main Consultants and Contractors
• Promote awareness within projects teams of project objectives and key performance criteria
• Maintain involvement in key technical decisions which are critical to projects success
Main Activities: The position is based in Lagos and will require frequent visits to the field base Location(s) in Niger Delta. Main activities includes: Engineering, Construction and commissioning of Water treatment, injection facilities and Pipelines within the agreed target; Securing AFE for own projects Promoting HSSE awareness of work force, Engagement of Partners and Regulators on own projects.
Job Challenges: The position is expected to document and define standards for water management in the company and bench mark performance with other oil companie
Essential Qualifications:
• Degree qualified in Engineering with significant experience (minimum 15 years) in senior role in Oil & Gas;
• At least 5 years in design/execution of water Treatment/Injection projects will be an advantage;
• Experience in development of projects exceeding $10m;
• Experience in Oil & Gas field production including drilling and well activities. Knowledge of Oil Field contracts and Contracting strategies;
• must have registered with COREN (or registrable with COREN for non-Nigerians)
Essential competencies: – Evaluation and Selection of engineering concepts based on Economics and HSSE – Develop and Implement detailed Plans in construct, install, commission and abandon field facilities, equipment and systems. – Identification and management of HSE and business Risks – Knowledge of full range of engineering standards and procedures. – Use of Pipesim – Ability to manage the contributions of various engineering disciplines in a team.
