Job Title: Chief Finance Officer

HASAL Microfinance Bank Limited is seeking a Chief Finance Officer. S/he will be responsible for financial control function comprising financial reporting, performance measurement, and treasury management.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Monitor bank-wide asset quality, capital adequacy, liquidity, and profitability analysis;
• Obtain competitor information from regulators, competitor analysis, and benchmarking;
• Implement the strategic focus of the bank;
• Project/product analysis, evaluation, and recommendation of courses of action;
• General strategic planning;
• Complete cost analysis, profitability, pricing, peer data reviews, valuation, investment activities, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling etc.;
• Supervision of the FINCON, product development, performance management, and strategy functions of the bank;
• Define the financial management framework/policies and performance management guidelines for the bank;
• Manage the reporting of financial performance;
• Establish investor relations strategy and set overall direction for the bank;
• Oversee key investor relations activities of all entities and ensure alignment with bank strategy and objectives;
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, institutions, and investment community at group level reflective of their needs and bank's overall objectives;
• Collaborate with the bank's finance and performance management and marketing strategy functions to analyze financial models, assess financial reports and market opinion, monitor competitors, and contribute to formulation of responses;
• Work in partnership with the communications and brand management unit to execute communications strategy and enhance relationship with investor community;
• Directs accounting department activities and provides leadership, training, and supervision within the unit ensuring that set goals and objectives are achieved;
• Provide a high level of customer relations and service ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures;
• Perform other functions as assigned by the managing director/ CEO.
Qualifications:
• Degree or its equivalent in Accounting;
• Professional Qualification of ACA, ACCA;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in microfinance;
• Must be IFRS literate;
• Certification in microfinance (MCIB) or equivalent.
