The Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos UNILAG, Prof. Rahamon Ade Bello, has said that the institution will become the best university in Africa in no distant time.

He spoke during the UNILAG convocation programme were the institution set a new academic record as 105 students were awarded Doctorate of Philosophy for the 2012/2013 academic session.

He said the institution had continued to witness appropriate growth and developments in all facets, particularly in infrastructural and academic leadership.

The vice chancellor said the 89 First Class students represented a continuation of the age-long tradition of the university to produce quality graduates that could compete favourably with their counterparts in any part of the world.
