The tertiary institutions in Ogun state have received a total of N21.6 billion as subvention funds in the last three years.

Gov. Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State gave the information while speaking at the stakeholders meeting in the state.

While restating his administrations commitment to education, Amosun said a 54-seater Buses, Hilux Patrol Vehicles and Ambulances have been purchased for the two state universities and Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.

He added that the government had also spent N3.25 billion on the purchase of textbooks and instructional materials which were distributed freely to pupils in public primary and secondary schools.

The Ogun State government has made huge investment in the education sector was part of its rebuilding agenda which includes free education that had resulted in a steady increase in student enrollment.
