The Students of Kogi State University KSU, Ayingba are lamenting the sudden increase in tuition for the institution as the new session resumed.

A new student of the university said: "I don't know why this people decided to increase the fees at this critical time. I was told that the fees that fresh students used to pay was tN35, 500. I don't know how it became N57,500 for those of us that are indigenes."

However, James Yusuf, another student said the school fees increase is justified considering that other schools are charging far more.

He said this particular regime of school fees is affordable and will ensure they get quality education.

Reports has it that the Students' Union Government SUG have already met with the school's Visitor, Governor Idris Wada, Governor of Kogi state following rumour that there would be tuition hike and they were told them to disregard the rumor.
