Following the submission of the report on Lagos State University school fees crisis by the committee raised by the Lagos state governor, Raji Fashola, there are indications that the controversial tuition regime will be reviewed downwards by 30-40percent.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lateef Ibirogba, confirmed the receipt of the report at the end of the weekly executive council meeting on Monday and he said that the government would look into the recommendations of the committee with a view of resolving the crisis in LASU.

His words: "On the reduction of the tuition fees, perhaps when we reach the final conclusion on the recommendations made, that is when we will be able to decide if the tuition fee will be reduced or not."

However, he said that once a decision has been reached, it will be revealed to the public.
