Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, has matriculated a total of 3,634 fresh students admitted into the institution for the 2013/14 academic session.

Speaking at the event, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Femi Mimiko, who was represented by the Deputy VC, Professor Rotimi Ajayi urged the new students to shun all forms of social vices like cultism, examination misconduct, truancy, drug addiction, indiscipline, rape, murder, prostitution, indecent dressing, kidnapping and any other form of violence.

He also advised the students to have the right attitude of hard work to their studies to achieve academic excellence and respect all the university rules and regulations as handed over to them during the orientation programme.

He also told the freshers that the university is governed by laws and the instrumentality of the law shall be applied at any moment of infraction urging them thou to guard their admission jealously and resist anything that may want to rub them of the golden privilege to study in AAUA as they are the lucky few out of over 18,019 students that wrote post utme in the school.

The university registrar, Mr Bamidele Olotu administered the matriculation oath on the new students.
