The Nasarawa State students studying in various law schools in Nigeria has rejected the state bursary and scholarship awards for this year, describing the gesture as "cheating" from the government.
.
The chairman of the Nigerian Law Students of Nasarawa State, Namo Samson Atari said the reason for their protest is that the state government slashed the bursary from N500,000.oo offered last year to N100,000.00 for this year.
.
He described this as unacceptable and said. that non of the law students will collect the money.
.
Atari made this known during the official flag-off of the bursary disbursement at the Nasarawa State University in Keffi by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
.
However, efforts to get government officials to comment on this proved abortive.
