Job Summary:

The Contract Administrator shall be responsible for project contract management from pre construction activities through constructionand commissioning. This position will ensure that all contractual provisions related to our projects are followed, monitored and closed out.

Major Responsibilities: – Coordinate the negotiation, execution and monitoring and compliance of all contracts – Interpret contract provisions in order to raise relevant clarifications or queries to the client – Update the project management system with key dates/milestones/agreements/ documents and communications. – Monitor contract performance of sub contractors and vendors by ensuring compliance to contract requirements before approval of invoices. – Handle all documentation and correspondences necessary to obtain approval for work not previously covered in a contract; process and obtain approval for contract variations. – Initiates and/or conducts meetings with clients concerning contractual problems as requested by the Project Manager – Assist the business development in preparing bid documents.

Qualification and Personal Attributes: – The ideal candidate must be an Engineer or a lawyer with more than 10 years experience in providing contract management for construction industry in the Oil and Gas sector. – Strong working knowledge of customary construction contract language and provisions. – Confident with excellent communication skills and ability to conduct meetings – Strong drive and unwavering discipline – Membership of professional contract/ project management bodies will be an advantage. – Must be ready to work long hours and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. – Must be able to work as a part of a team.
