The chairman of the board, Alhaji Ibrahim Toshia who made this disclosure said: "In 2013, Yobe State Government paid N86.4 million as scholarship funding to 3,253 students within the country and N235.4 million to 89 students abroad out of which 12 were medical students.
.
"This year, government paid N153 million to 5,446 students in various institutions across the country. It also paid N53.6 million to 17 students in tertiary institutions in Europe, Asia and African countries out of which six are doctorate degree students," he explained further.
