Title: 14 First Class As MOUAU Graduates 2,900 Students

The convocation ceremony of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) which took place on Saturday, 22nd November, 2014 saw a total of 2,900 students receive their first degree and post-graduate degree certificates.

The break-down of the results which is for the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 session graduating students showed that 14 bagged first class degrees while a total of 517 made second class upper division.

A further analysis of the results indicated that 857 students made second class lower division as 872 and 445 graduated with third class and pass degrees respectively.

In the postgraduate category, a total of 195 students got their Masters and Ph.D certificates.

Speaking at the convocation event, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Hilary Edeoga, congratulated the graduands and urged them to be good ambassadors of the institutions.

He commended the prevailing peace and cordial relationship existing between staff, management and students of the institution at the moment.
