The fifth convocation ceremony of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State saw a total of 6,341 graduands from the 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 sets receive their First Degree certificates.

In a breakdown of the results, 26 students bagged First Class Degrees, 1,414 were in the Second Class Upper Division; 3,505 got Second Class Lower Division; 993 earned Third Class and 54 graduated in the Pass category.

A futher 412 students earned Postgraduate Diplomas and Higher Degrees.

In his speech, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Ambassador Oladele Akadiri, said the newly-inaugurated Council would consolidate on the achievements of the university since inception, especially in the past five years.

He congratulated the graduands and their parents on their achievements and encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the university.
