Interracial marriage, a common thing among Nigerians in diaspora.

Laolu Saraki, the suave looking son of the strongman of Kwara politics, Dr Olusola Saraki, has finally tied the nuptial knots.

The younger Saraki, who was one of the hottest bachelors in town, took the very bold step after many years of speculation. Many will remember that a few weeks ago, talk was rife that he might have walked down the aisle albeit secretly to escape prying eyes.

Unknown to a lot of people, the latter, who prefers Caucasian beauties and has dated quite a few in the past, finally settled for his favourite penultimate Friday at a classy ceremony that took place outside these shores.

Gaiety was in the air in faraway Spain when Laolu, who is also the younger brother of the immediate past governor of Kwara State, and Spanish beauty, Carolina were pronounced man and wife. The blushing bride is the daughter of Mr. Rafael Merry del Val Grazie and Mrs. Lillian de la Campa Smith, who are both Spanish nationals.

A large contingent comprising family and friends of the groom departed Nigeria days before the wedding and were privy to the two-part ceremony .Those who were part of the wedding party train swore that the first leg, which took place at Iglesia de las Esclavas, was just as colourful as the reception that was hosted in a similar fashion at El Castillo de Vinuelas.

The Sarakis, a very prominent family in Nigeria, put up a decent show of affluence that simply awed their guests as well as their new in-laws.
