Students of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, today (Thursday) took to the streets to protest against late registration charges of N10,000 imposed by the school management.
.
It will recalled that students who registered onel week after the registration deadline were first charged N5,000 which the students accepted.
.
However, the students were provoked when the management announced a 100 per cent increased to the late registration fee from N5,000 to N10,000.

The protest which started this morning saw the students block the entrance gate of the institution as they march around peacefully.
.
One of the students on ground alleged that the state governor, Ayo Fayose, had already ordered the arrest of the Students' Union officials.
.
When contacted, the Office of the Governor made it known that no such directive was given and added that the governor directed the late registration fee to be scrapped with immediate effect.
